Transport Safety

This course deals with the structure and development of the concept of safety and risk control based on the Design Control and Practice (DCP) diagram with respect to railway and aerospace systems. The course presents a systematic approach towards safety in different modes of transportation (focusing on rail), integrated in traffic design and management. The focus is on the role of humans in causing safety related problems and in controlling them. The course provides methods for analysis of safety problems and tools to prevent and control safety in transportation systems.
